SYNOPSIS

Palavra Presa is a documentary about how reading and writing have become powerful tools of expression and freedom for those behind bars. The film follows criminal court judge João Marcos Buch, who gives voice to the writings of incarcerated individuals. By challenging the traditional norms of the prison system, he confronts the established paradigm and exposes a failing system, where overcrowded prisons become a threat to society.
